Module 1
• (Day- 1) Starting Auto CAD - Auto CAD screen components – Starting a drawing: Open drawings, Create drawings (start from scratch, Use a template & use wizard)
- Invoking commands in Auto CAD – drawing Lines in Auto CAD
• (Day-2) Co ordinate systems : a) Absolute Co ordinate system b) Relative Co- ordinate system c) Polar Co ordinate system (Direct distance method)
• Saving a drawing: Save & Save as – Closing a drawing – quitting Auto CAD.
Module 2
• (Day-3) Opening an existing file - Concept of object – Object selection methods: Pick by box, Window a selection, Crossing selection etc ; Add, Remove, Erasing objects, OOPS command; UNDO / REDO commands,
• (Day-4) ZOOM commands, PAN command, Panning in real time; Setting unit, Object snap, Running object snap mode, Drawing circles, ellipses etc.
Module 3
• (Day-5) Draw commands: ARC command – RECTANG command – ELLIPSE command, elliptical arc – POLYGON command(regular polygon) – PLINE command – DONUT command – POINT command – Construction line: XLINE command, RAY command – MULTILINE command ; Using of tools to draw specific objects.

• (Day-9) Creating Text ,Creating single line Text – Drawing special characters – Creating multiline Text - Editing Text – Text style.
Module 7
• (Day-10) Basic Dimensioning Fundamental dimensioning terms: Dimension lines, dimension text, arrow heads, extension lines, leaders, centre marks & centre lines, alternate units, - Associative dimensions – dimensioning methods – drawing leader etc.

• (Day-11) Inquiry Commands AREA - DIST – ID – LIST – DBLIST – STATUS – DWAGPROPS –
Module 10
• (Day-12) Editing Dimensions By stretching – By trimming & extending – Editing Dimension – DIMEDIT command – Updating dimensions – Using the properties window – Creating and restoring dimension styles: DIMESTYLE
Module 11
• (Day-13) Hatching SHATCH, HATCH commands – Boundary Hatch Options: Quick tab, Advance tab - Hatching around text, Traces, Attributes, Shapes and Solids – Editing Hatch boundary – BOUNDAR command.

Module 14
• (Day-16) Practice with complete Drawing .To prepare a set of Orthographic projections of a given building drawing is required.
